Would have been too nice, if the heavens hadn't opened up. Yoh, what a tough ride. Started out with the rain p!issing down. With my uncanny ability to fall over in perfect conditions and with the terrain being so slippery I seriously contemplated going straight back to the gazebo. Fortunately I stayed out there and the sun made a brief appearance, so the conditions dried up a bit, only for the heavens to open up later again. There's some amazing terrain down there in the Ooze Kaap. Would love to ride there in better conditions. Well done to the ELMC&CC for organizing a fantastic event.

The traction was so few that sometimes momentum wasn't even enough. A miniature winch attached to the front of the bike would have made getting over those slippery roots easier. That said, the pros didn't seem to battle too much.
