Those things must have been a bloody handfull.
Balloon tyres, two inches of front travel, rigid bank ends, foot boards and probably a foot clutch...not to mention about 200 kilos dry.

Speaking about the old days, I was speaking to my grandmother (93) few days ago, and we started talking about her days growing up in Rhodesia. She knew I had started riding and asked if I knew who John Love was ? I told her that the name did not ring a bell.
Turns out my Grandmother had one of the first dirt bike tracks in Rhodesia and John Love use to ride there on occasion before he moved on to racing motorcars. My Mom and Aunts use to do all the catering for the spectators. She said she still has some pictures of him on the track. Going to try dig them up.
