Free State Regional - 3 July

The route will +- 50km long and part of the western loop of the Caledon 400 that was hosted in Tweespruit.

Route will comprise of mountain sections, bluegum forest(lots of new twisty route) and some fast straights. Start DSP and finish all at the farm Devonshire.
Fom JHB turn off approx 3 km before the Verkerdevlei toll plaza. Drive past Excelssior and past Tweespruit. At the crossing 3 km past Tweespruit turn right on the N8 towards Thaba Nchu and find the venue 6km down the road on your left.
With the National two weeks later that was canned this could be nice practise. the overall winner in Quad and Tweelie will each win a nice computer 17inch flatscreen the tuti! A succulant steak and cold ones awaits you at prize giving (steak included in your entry fee).
Regionals in the Freestate has grown from 50 at the first event, 68 at the second and 75 at the third. Help us achieve the 100+ and this event.

Sunday 4^th of July BAFANA Day Ride.

Hi Guys

We are hosting a day ride in the South of JHB next Sunday – 20 minutes away from the Wild Thing track

The route will be clearly marked – so you can ride at your own pace and enjoy…

So far we have found a circular route - 80 kays of brilliant trails – and we are spending this week looking for more…

So dust the bikes off and come and come and get them dirty...

Tight twisty trails – river crossings and a few rocky koppies are waiting for you – it is going to be great fun.

We’ll sort coffee and Muffins in the morning when you arrive – and you can have a lekker burger, chips and a coke when you get back…

We’ll have marshals all along to keep an eye on you and assist – Dirt and Trail magazine will be along taking photo’s and our Resolution Insurance Paramedic will be in attendance…

The ride kicks off from 9am.

Lesotho Snow ride: 16^th, 17^th, 18^th July 2010

Just a quick one: The plan was to do a ride Sudwala side on the weekend of the 16^th of July – but, thanks to the world cup – they are fully booked. So we are off to Lesotho and we’ll hit Sudwala at another date. 3.5 hours from JHB.

Dirtbikes, Quads and Side by Sides all welcome.

Hopefully we’ll catch the snow this weekend, so it should be quite pretty. It’s actually not that cold when you ride, so don’t be scared, we’ll make sure that you have a good time. We stay in the picturesque town of Fouriesburg, which is just down the road from Clarens.

We sort all meals Friday through Sunday morning.

A full day in the saddle on Saturday, with a shorter ride on Sunday before you head for home.

Saturdays ride is split into two loops – an easier ride in the morning with a nice, rocky technical ride in the afternoon. Our team will be along to assist and take pics. If you do the whole ride you are looking at about 150 odd kays – but we will mark shortcuts for those who do not want to do that distance. On Sunday – it’s a lekker trail down the Caledon River… huge fun.

Costs: Includes all meals and accommodation from Friday through Sunday morning. Resolution Insurance medical backup and medics.

It will be two heats of mx and one heat of enduro and you must do all 3 heats to score.

Practice for mx @ 9 am.

This is only a fun day and no license is needed just come for the fun.

Its time to kick back, relax and witness some sick FMX movesat this weekend’s Compound FMX event @ Daytona. An adrenalinefilled day out that allows you to enjoy some of South Africa's top amateurand Pro FMX riders in action. Therewill also be a guest appearance by a top international FMX rider.

The day will include a freestyle expression session, SYNCRO and TRAIN sessions.

Monsters GIG RiG, Nino's mini coffee stand, a stocked up bar and food stand will allow you to enjoy the day in whatever style suitsyou !!

As one of the sponsors, there will also be a limited amount of DIRT NURSE fast action bike cleaneron sale at promotional prices.

TRICK LIST

Watching FMX usually leaves even adrenline junkies astonished so here is a small a list of FMX tricks to help you identify what they are and 'how to do them'.

1. Can Can: The trick consists of getting one leg to go over the other side of the bike. End result will have both legs on one side. Higher points are given when riders land on a Can Can position.

2. Cliffhanger: The rider stands up straight in the air with toes on the underside of bars. Hands are above the head like a roller coaster position.

3. Coffin: Legs are extended below the handlebars and rider lies on the seat as far as possible.

4. Lazy Boy: Similar to the coffin, but arms and legs are extended more for higher points.

5. Dead Body: Rider's body is in front of the bike and horizontal while holding on to the bars.

6. Double Grab: The body is extended at the back of the bike while holding the back of the bike with two hands.

7. Fender Grab: The body is bent over the handlebars while hands are grabbing the fender.

8. Hart Attack: Legs are pointed up while doing a superman.

9. Indian Air: Legs are crossed like a scissor position.

10. Kiss of Death: The bike will be vertical as possible and rider's leg will point straight up.

11. Nac Nac: On the jump, whip the bike sideways, swing one leg around behind to the other side.

12. No Footer: Landing with both feet off the pegs

13. Nothing: Hands and feet are removed when landing

14. Rock Solid: The body will be detached from the bike. Do a Superman Seat grab, release the seat with both arms extended from the bike. Remount when you catch enough air.

15. Rodeo Air: One hand will be holding the cross bar and one hand will be free then do a heel click.

16. Stale Fish or Saran Wrap: One leg is brought in front between arms and the other leg outside the arm.

17. Sterilizer: Do a bar hop and extend legs over handlebars.

18. Suicide Can: One foot will be off the peg and raised over the bike seat. Both legs will be on one side of the bike. Lift the other foot off the peg and extend both legs away from the bike then remove hands of the bars.

19. Superman: This looks like superman flying hence the name. Feet are released and are kicked back.

20. Superman Seat Grab: With legs extended back, one hand will be released from the grip and grabs seat for distance on extension.

21. Surfer: Perform a surfing position on the bike while hands are on the bars.

22. Tsunami: Do a headstand while holding handlebars and keeping the bike horizontal.

Come join us @ Harry's Quad Trail (GPS - S25 54.789 E28 43.590) near Bronkhorstspruit for a fun day of riding your enduro/mx/adventure/quad bike on nice trails.

It is relative easygoing, so a great place to improve your skills.

There are a nice enduro loop that is more challenging.

There are toilets and braai facilities available on site, so invite the family to join later, bring the meat, whatever you want to eat plus drink (we will supply the fire) and come enjoy a day out with us.

R50 per rider, spectators free.

I heard an ad on radio about a family fun run moto's quads etc from Hartebeespoort Dam and Sun City.

Could anyone give me contact details, who to contact?

I have tried the entire internet and 94.2, 94.7 and Five FM's site but nothing!
